Well Summer is over

Ok with the end of volleyball, comes the end of summer, (well at lest for me)

This summers volleyball, was not that good. it was hard to get people from work to come out, witch was strange, because last year we always had lots of people coming out to play, oh well.

I do have to thank the few people that did come out all the time, and when they could make it.

Next year I don't think I will put a team togeter though work, I will just ask people from work if they would like to "pay too play", that way I will get people that really want to play.

I can't really put the blame on people at work, people have other things they want to do, and volleyball might be fun, but you have to want to make the time for it.

Getting too old for games

I hope it is not true, but I find I'm not into games, the way I use to be. The only games I want to play, are the ones that are short, and quick to play. However I feel this is the fault of the game makers, games take way too much time to play, and you can't just stop save, and come back later to continue playing.

Also I find that when I play a game for a long time, it now feels like I wasted all that time doing nothing, and getting nothing out of it. I is strange that I don't feel that way about TV watching.

Oh well just something I was thinking about on my way to work.

My Dell is going to Blow!!!

Well, my Dell XPS has one of the Batteries that can catch on fire, if I don't have it plugged in. I will call them this week to get a new one.

I have not used this Blog in a long time, Did not feel like saying anything, but now that MS, has changed it a bit, I will see if the changes are any good. Maybe I will start putting in some movie reviews again, or talk about Naruto (2 more weeks until the good stuff).

Well that is it for now, I'm going to go and read a comic book, then go to bed, if stargate does not download.

Update on the Dell Battery:

Advance Volleyball Champions for winter 2005/2006!!!!

Oh my god. When Lynn (the person that put our volleyball team together) asked me to be on her advance volleyball team, I told her, that I thought that, advance volleyball may be too much for me, and that I was not good enough to play on a advance team. Well she talked me into it.

We got off to a shaky start, but the team was fun to play with, so it was going to be a fun season win or lose. By the end of the regular season play, we were in 4 place; out of 14 teams, so just made it into the Championship Round (better then I expected).

The Semi-Final game was the best game of the whole season. We were up against the #1 team in the league, they did not lose one game, and we just lost to them the week before. But somehow we pulled it off and won 2 out of 3 games. Each game was won by 2 points, and they were amazing to play with. After that game we all went out for drinks. They really deserved to get second place, but they came in third.
Last night was the Finals, and we won all three games, so we are the Champs!! It feels really good.

Now, on to beach, for some beach Volleyball.

Oh no, I'm getting old. 70 music explosion

Oh my god, I'm getting old. I fell asleep yesterday, and woke up to an infomercial. An infomercial, about hits from the 70's. and I found myself really liking the songs that they were promoting, and now I'm on a quest to get all the songs. I know that most people would not understand why I like music from the 70's. but I guess that does not matter.

Now I have over 150 songs to find, using iTunes, and the apple music store. lol, I'm so sad lol

Saw II

 Ok I'm back, and yes I know, it has been a long time, I just did not know what to talk about. However I'm going to try keep the blog going from now on.

 

Ok Saw II. Well This was not the a grate movie, however I did enjoy the movie. If you liked the first SAW then I would say that you will like this one more. Also if you did not see the first one, it might be a good Idea to see it first before looking at this one. The only thing is that you may hate the first one, and not want to see this one.  

One other note, some people will love to know that Donnie Wahlberg from New kids on the Block fame is one of the stars of the film; blah he was ok...

Crap, I could not lose the weight

Well it is my first week, and I did not lose all the weight I needed

I checked my weight this morning and I was 177.5 lbs. I only lost 0.5 lbs. and I know why. I had way too much bread this weekend. (Also it might have been the fact that I went to McDonalds two times this week ).

Well, I will try harder this week.

Rent

Now I wanted to see the new Harry Potter movie, but instead I was dragged to this movie. I did not want to spend my money on a movie that I saw the live play of, so as you can imagine, I was not too happy going to see this movie, I was determined not to like it.
Well I loved the movie, it brought back all the feelings I had when I saw the musical. It was amazing. However I can not recommend this movie for people who did not see the musical. I don’t think a movie can ever do the same thing as good musical and looking back at the story, I think that I would not like the movie if I did not see the play. However this had to be one of the best movies I have ever seen in a theatre.
If you look past the story and like the music you will enjoy this movie, however if you did not see the musical and don’t like singing in a movie, I would not go and see this one if I were you. (go see the musical you will get a lot more out of it).

One last note, at the end of this movie, people applauded, and I also saw a few people crying.

 

 For me I would give it 9/10. But for anyone that has not see the musical 6/10

Birth

For some unknown reason I really wanted to see this movie, because it looked like a high end take on reincarnation. I was expecting to see an intellectual take on the subject, interwoven in a good story and good actors; all I got was the good actors.

This was a boring story, told so slowly, it will drive you mad. There must be only 10 pages of dialogue for the whole 2 hours. Most of the film was spent on people looking longingly into space (for people that know me, it was like watching the anime "Lien")

But that was not the worst of it. There was a scene in a bath tub with an adult and a 10 year old boy. This scene was disgusting and unnecessary. Not only was this a bad story, but they felt they had to put in a scene, that went too far.

 I give this peace of crap 2/10
