Surface vs iPad

0_480_640_http-__i.haymarket.net.au_News_20120620091233_citp_apr_2008_grey_backgrou
Now that I have both a Surface Pro, and a iPad (that work has lent me), I find that I like using the iPad more :(
People who know me, know that I love my Surface Pro, and that I would not spend any money on a iPad. but now that I have been using them both, the iPad is better.
Here is Why:
If I want to do work, the Surface Pro, it can do it all. however it’s just too small, I need a larger screen. Also, the keyboard (“type keyboard” ) is just a bit to small, and the  touch pad does not always work well.  Now I can’t do any work on an iPad, but in both cases, I will go to my desk top computer to do any real work. I was really hoping that Surface Pro would help me with this case. I just don’t find it comfortable to use. Unlike a notebook that I can’t sit it on my lap, I find that I have too put the Surface Pro on a table, or find a big book to put it under to use it well. Another thing is that  I can’t hold it in my hands conformably either way. The is not just the weight, it’s it’s configuration; its too wide one way, and too tall the other way (both the RT and PRO)
If I just want to use it to watch YouTube, or read something the iPad is perfect for that, you can use the iPad or the iPad mini, and they both feel good in my hands. I can use them anywhere in the house and be comfortable. This is not the case with the PRO.
There are a lot of problems with Windows 8, but not with iOS. But I will wait for MS to fix these problems, because it will take some time.
The pen is the best part of the Surface PRO
I’m hoping that Microsoft comes out with a smaller Surface, that is not a wide screen format.  I will get that one when it is available. (I’m still a MS fan boy at hart). But Apple has a better product. :(

Back to Blogging

I have not blogged for years, but I thought I would give it a try again. Right now I’m trying to see if this old windows tool “Windows Live Writer” will still work. I know that Word 2013 lets you blog from it, but I can’t seem to like my accounts to it, and it’s late, and I’m tried.

Not much to say today (but games for all)

Got into work just before 10am today, I did  not want to get into work early today, because  I have a late volleyball game at 8:00pm tonight, and I will not be going home after work, I will stay at work and try and get some more work done before I head out to the game. I hope my performance is better tonight, than Monday nights, I really sucked that night.

My Diet is going well, I don't know how much I have lost, however, I'm starting to see a change. Not too much of a change yet, and I don't think others can see it yet, but I can see a little change in my stomach, and I do feel a little bit stronger in "Group Pump" class at the gym. Food is the hardest part, and I'm using meal replacement shakes to help me not eat so much. I started out with Slim fast, then moved over to "Myoplex Original Nutrition Shake" (after reading a number of reviews about how bad Slim fast is for you). However I think I might move back to Slim fast. Why you ask? Well I have to say that I don't like the taste of the Myoplex, and it just cost too much money; $70 Canadian vs $8 Canadian for the Slim Fast (This will help me save money as well). I know that Myoplex is better for you, but I don't want make this diet feel like work, I really need to feel like, I like what I'm doing, for this to work, and for me to stick with it. I'm also starting to eat a banana and a apple between meals; now this is harder for me, because I don't like eating fruits, but I'm become accustom to it, I just don't know how long I will continue.

Oh, one last thing, related to Windows Vista. Last night I was looking into updating the look of my WordPress Blog, when I came across Jonathan's Shrine page. There he has instruction on how to install Windows Vista games on Windows XP. I tried it out, and it worked. Take a look.

I just might get an Apple as my next Computer

A friend just sent me this link, showing Parallels running windows on a Mac OSX computer. I would love to work with both Mac and Windows, however, I would like it better if it was windows running OSX, and not the other way around. If I stop playing games, I think I just might look into this.

Take a look. NOTE: You will need QuickTime, to see the video.
